PNGtuber rig · Windows · free, always
Four pictures
and you're
live.
Salavatar listens to your microphone and puppets a PNG avatar on stream. Import four frames, then close the window — it keeps running from the tray. No rigging, no tracking, no webcam, and no price.
The preview beside this is the real behaviour, in miniature.
Drag your own PNGs onto a slot — nothing leaves your browser.
The whole asset list
Two eyes, two mouths.
That's the entire rig.
Everything a talking head needs sits at the crossing of two states. Import four transparent PNGs at the same canvas size and Salavatar picks the right one, sixty times a second.
- Your sets live in the app. Import once and Salavatar keeps them. Swap between saved sets without going back through your folders.
- Only drawn two? Give it an open-mouth and a shut-mouth frame — the blink states borrow from them until you draw more.
- Blinking is automatic. Randomised intervals, so it never settles into a robotic tick.
Out of the way
Close the window. It keeps going.
Most PNGtuber tools want a window left open forever, sitting in your alt-tab rotation, waiting to be dragged out of place or captured by accident. Salavatar drops to the tray once it's set up and carries on feeding OBS from there.
Nothing to minimise, nothing to un-maximise before you go live, and one less window between you and the game.
Right-click the tray icon to swap sets or open settings.
Motion
Swapping frames is the floor, not the ceiling.
Under the frames sits a spring. Your voice pushes it and the avatar carries the momentum, instead of snapping between two poses. Flip these and watch the preview change.
Channel point rewards
Let them spend points shoving you around.
Make a reward in your Twitch dashboard, point it at a movement, and it's live. Your viewers get a button that visibly does something, and you get a redemption queue that isn't just another sound clip. Have a go:
Rewards are the whole surface for now. Follows, subs, bits and raids aren't wired up yet — they're next on the list, and this page will say so when they are.

Where the beta actually stands.
It's a beta and it's labelled like one. Here's what you're getting before you spend a download on it.
Working now
- Four-frame rig driven by any input device
- Automatic randomised blinking
- Spring physics: bounce, wobble, tilt
- Runs from the tray with no window open
- Saved avatar sets, swapped without re-importing
- Channel point rewards wired to custom reactions
Still rough
- Windows only for now
- Settings live in one window, not a tidy panel
- Quiet mics may need the sensitivity nudged up
- Not code-signed, so SmartScreen will warn you
Next up
- Follows, subs, bits and raids as triggers
- Hotkey outfit and mood swaps
- More than four frames per set
- Tell me what's missing and it moves up the list
Who's behind it
I'm Norbert. I make small tools for streamers.
No company, no investors, nobody to answer to about conversion rates. That's the whole reason Salavatar can stay free — there's no business model that needs it to stop being free later.
If it breaks, or it almost does the thing you need, write to me. Most of what's on the roadmap arrived as someone's email, and a one-line bug report from a streamer mid-season is worth more than a month of me guessing.

Go and be a little creature.
Download it, drop in four pictures, and you're on stream before the ad break ends. Salavatar stays free — no licence, no tier, no watermark, no feature held back for a paid version. The beta label is about polish, not price.
Windows will throw a warning, and it's meant to. This build isn't code-signed yet, so SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC" the first time you run it. Choose More info, then Run anyway. If you'd rather check the file first, here's the hash to match it against.
